KVAR Energy Controllers
Whenever possible, we recommend a customized solution for power factor optimization. Such custom units provide the greatest amount of savings due to a nearly perfect power factor of 100%. For smaller locations, however, customized solutions can be too pricey for home and small business owners. For these applications, our off-the-shelf solutions provide a more modest reduction in power consumption for a more modest price.
These units are installed next to your electrical panel box where the circuit breakers are located. If you are unsure of the proper size, check the size of the main breaker in your panel or ask an electrician. Most homes receive 200 Amp service, although apartments and condominiums may receive less. Each of these devices are rated for 240 to 480 Volts. Prices do not include installation; consult with your electrician for installation costs.
